OPERACIÓN ALOVERA
Alovera Beach is a currently-suspended project that aimed to construct the largest artificial beach in Europe, in the town of Alovera, located between Guadalajara and Madrid. This project was founded as a means to attract investors and home-buyers to purchase houses in the development of Las Suertes I-15, which is owned by Rayet, the same company that is running Alovera Beach. The project was controversial due to its dimensions and lack of due diligence in the process of procuring water, sand, and other resources, but also due to the embellishment of the sustainability claims of the project that involved a distortion of the patents registered by the collaborating company, Crystal Lagoons.
